Notice of Intent to Sole Source THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference#: N0025922N0067. Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) intends to award a firm fixed price contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source being available to meet the Government’s needs, to: Datex-Ohmeda, Inc. 3030 Ohmeda Dr Madison, Wisconsin 53718-6704, United States The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811219; the business size standard is 22.0 (millions of dollars). The objective of this sole source award is to procure on-site Preventative Maintenance and Repair Service contract for anesthesia units required to support surgical procedures being utilized at Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point. This procurement includes Base Plus 4 Option Years. BASE: 10/1/2022 – 9/30/2023 OPT YR 1: 10/1/2023 – 9/30/2024 OPT YR 2: 10/1/2024 – 9/30/2025 OPT YR 3: 10/1/2025– 9/30/2026 OPT YR 4: 10/1/2026 – 9/30/2027 Datex-Ohmeda, Inc., the manufacturer is the only source that can perform repairs or upgrades to the anesthesia equipment due to the proprietary nature of this equipment, no other company was found that has authorized third party service providers. Additionally, parts utilized in repairs are the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts/components in order to ensure maximal function and that liability and warranty on devices are intact. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to perform the required work and are able to provide valid certification to provide service validated by Datex-Ohmeda, Inc. Capability statements shall not exceed 6 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source purchase order.
