Naval Medical Center San Diego (NMCSD) intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source being available to meet the Government's needs to: Censis Technologies, Inc. 830 Cresent Centre Dr. STE 610 Franklin, TN, 37064-7323 The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334118; the business size standard is 1,000 (# of employees). The objective of this sole source award is to procure Censis Technologies, Inc. Barcode Scanners and additional hardware compatible with the CensiTrac System for Naval Medical Center San Diego. All required items are listed below. CLIN Description 0001: CT0157 - Hardware: Camera and Stand Bundle Quantity: 02 Unit of Issue: Each 0002: CT0154 - Hardware: Cognex DM 8600 Bundle Quantity: 06 Unit of Issue: Each 0003: CT0098 - Hardware: Document Scanner Quantity: 01 Unit of Issue: Each 0004: CT0128 - Hardware: FIPS Compliant Wireless Scanner Quantity: 10 Unit of Issue: Each 0005: CT0182 - Hardware: Label Printer with Network Card ZD420 Quantity: 14 Unit of Issue: Each Censis Technologies, Inc. is the only source that can deliver the required items due to the proprietary nature of this equipment, no other company was found that has authorized third-party service providers. Additionally, parts utilized in repairs are Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts/components in order to ensure maximal function and that liability and warranty on devices are intact. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for the requirement. Sources interested in responding to this notice are required to submit a capability statement that includes management and technical data and cost information, in sufficient detail and with convincing evidence that clearly demonstrates the capability to perform the required work and are able to provide valid certification to provide service validated by Censis Technologies, Inc. Capability statements shall not exceed 6 (8.5 x 11 inch) pages using a font size no smaller than 10-point. All capability statements received by the due date of this notice will be considered by the Government. A request for documentation or additional information or submissions that only ask questions will not be considered as an affirmative response. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement or to proceed with a sole source purchase order. Capability statements are due by 0700 am Pacific Time, July 18, 2019.
