Commander Navy Region South West (CNRSW) Fire and Emergency Services (F and ES) is in need of Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Jackets with liner which are used during emergency medical calls and is considered a required piece of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The EMS jacket will be provided as initial issues and for retired unusable jackets, and for provisioning newly hired firefighters. Requirement is for support of Federal Fire Departments located in United States (U.S.) Navy facilities in China Lake, San Diego, El Centro, Lemoore, Seal Beach, and Point Mugu California, and Fallon Nevada. CNRSW F and ES current inventory of EMS jackets are Blauer, Globe, and Honeywell EMS jackets. EMS jackets must be replaced every ten (10) years or if the gear is damaged and no longer meets the NFPA standards.
