Question: what is the required height of the lifting bag? You were clear about required capacity, however looking at pictures of the V-22 there is a large height difference between NLG collapsed scenario and MLG collapsed scenario. Answer: We are replacing stacks of mattresses that are being used as emergency landing pads. The compressed size is what we are concerned about (5.5 inches). This is the limit that we needed for the minimum ground clearance to prevent damage to our aircraft. Listed were several other heights that are also required through inflation and deflation, please refer to contract. The height is not that much of a concern. We would not expect the height of your bags to be over 40”, but it just depends on the compression rate of your bag.
