This action is an exception to the fair opportunity process, awarded as a new delivery order to PHDS Co. for a Fulcrum HPGe Gamma-ray Spectrometer. The spectrometer supports the Navy Environmental Preventative Medicine Units 2 and 5. It must distinguish multiple isotopes simultaneously, separate gamma rays of similar energy, be ruggedized and portable for field use, and support hardwire data transfer. A firm-fixed-price delivery order is anticipated. This is a new requirement replacing an outdated unit currently in use.
