The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia, intends to solicit on a sole source basis with Thermo Electron North America LLC to provide a maintenance and service contract on two (2) ThermoFisher instruments, the ICS 6000 and the Integrion for the Navy Environmental and Preventative Medicine Unit Two Industrial Hygiene Department. The Navy intends to solicit for a Firm Fixed Price type order. This procurement is a sole source acquisition with Thermo Electron North America LLC under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901, Simplified acquisition procedures - a sole source acquisition using simplified procedures for the acquisition of commercial items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 334516. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901, Simplified acquisition procedures - a sole source acquisition using simplified procedures for the acquisition of commercial items, as implemented by FAR 13.501(a). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 13 March 2025. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
