Synopsis for Solicitation number N0018925Q0267 (Caterpillar MDE Reduction Gears Caterpillar 7271 Marine Gears) The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Norfolk, VA 23511-3392 intends to award a firm fixed-price contract for two Caterpillar 7271 Marine Gears 4.5:1. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The requirement covers the procurement and shipping of the requested supplies replacement of both TSV3 HUNTER Caterpillar Main Diesel Engine (MDE) Reduction Gears, Caterpillar 7271 Marine Gears 4.5:1.
