NAVSUP FLC Philadelphia, BUMED Directorate intends to solicit on an other than full and open competition basis for Puritan BennettTM 980 Ventilators support services for the Naval Medical Readiness Logistics Command, Fort Detrick Detachment (NMRLC-FTD). The provider of services must be an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or be an authorized maintenance provider. The procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition pursuant to the statutory authority of FAR 13.501(a). The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Covidien Sales LLC, a Medtronic Company, on a sole source basis as the only authorized maintenance provider of services for the PB 980 Ventilators. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all proposals received within two days after the date of publication of this synopsis for future opportunities. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based on the responses received is solely with the discretion of the Government.
