Synopsis for Solicitation number 1301171119 (Fluids Hot Wire CNC Foam Cutters) The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Norfolk, VA 23511-3392 intends to award a firm fixed-price contract for a Fluids Hot Wire CNC Foam Cutter with previously purchased systems. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The requirement covers the procurement, installation, and performance requirements for Fluids Hot Wire CNC Foam Cutter that will support Midshipmen-PBL projects, as well as routine engineering course work and capstone projects, across several engineering disciplines within the School of Engineering and Weapons. The procurement action is for The United States Naval Academy. This requirement is a sole source award to Hotwire Direct. Any potential contractor capable of demonstrating that it is qualified to perform the work to the required standards and that wishes to make a competitive quote for the contract should submit a capability statement in beta.SAM.gov. Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a vendor ineligible for award.
