A complete Request for Quote (RFQ) package will be available on or about September 6, 2024, by downloading the documents at the SAM.gov website as follows: https://sam.gov/. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will not issue hard copy solicitations. The Contracting Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center (FLC), Norfolk intends to solicit a Firm Fixed-Price contract and will utilize procedures under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and FAR 13.5. This requirement will be solicited as other than full and open competition (brand name) IAW FAR 13.501(a). The proposed acquisition is to replace aging uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system at eight (8), Force Surveillance Support Center (FSSC) sites. The UPS have reached their end of life and must be replaced to ensure mission requirements can be supported. Place of performance: New Kent and Chesapeake, VA; Tilden and South Permont, TX; and Vieques and Juana Diaz, PR. Period of performance: 30 days after award. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 335311 – Power, Distribution and Specialty Transformer Manufacturing, the Federal Supply Code is 6150 - Miscellaneous Electric Power and Distribution Equipment, and the size standard is 800 Employees. By submitting a quote, the vendor is self-certifying they are not currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. By submission of an offer, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the SAM database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
