NAS Oceana’s Air Operation Building (AOB) and Radar Approach Control Facility (RACF)seeks the procurement and installation of a 40kVA Uninterrupted Power Supply and the removal and disposition of the current Uninterrupted Power Supply. The Universal Power Supply will provide battery back up in the event of loss of power until the generator activates. The UPS will also act as a rectifier during generator operation in order to provide stable power to designated electrical circuits in the Air Operations Building. The UPS also provides Life Safety illumination in the event of power loss. It also provides power to National Airspace equipment, radar monitoring devices, Radar data and/or voice communication to five Air Control Facilities. This is a sole source award to CHAMPCO Inc. doing business a Power Electric Company. Please see the attached J and A for further analysis.
