THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS: The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics center (FLC) Norfolk, Philadelphia Office intends to solicit a total small business set-aside for paper shredding and media destruction services to designated Bureau of Medicine and Surgery Headquarters (BUMED HQ) detachments. Support Services shall not exercise any supervision or control over the contract service providers performing the services herein. Such contract service providers shall be accountable solely to the contractor who, in turn is responsible to BUMED HQ, Support Services. The primary place of performance for this effort shall be: NAS - JAX, Bldg. H2005 Knight Ln., Jacksonville, FL 32214; Bldg. 554 Kelly St., Jacksonville, Florida 32212. It is anticipated that the resultant solicitation will result in a purchase order issued on a firm fixed price (FFP) basis. The anticipated base performance period will be 4 September 2023 through 3 September 2023 and will include four (4) one-year option periods. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 561110. This requirement is a total small business set-aside and will be processed in accordance with FAR 19.5 Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and may submit information that shall be considered by NAVSUP FLC Norfolk, Philadelphia Office. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this requirement will be posted on or before 17 August of 2023. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring the aforementioned website for postings of the solicitation and any amendments thereto. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. The Government will neither award a contract nor pay for information in response to this notice. Any responses to this synopsis should be sent to the attention of Michael Magazzu at Michael.p.magazzu.civ@us.navy.mil, these responses shall be received no later than 5:00 PM EST on 17 August 2023. Additional information for this requirement will be listed in the solicitation upon its release, which is anticipated to be on or before 17 August of 2023 to the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) website (www.neco.navy.mil). Contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) website (www.sam.gov) in order to be considered for award.
