The Recruit Training Command (RTC) Great Lakes, IL requires updated foot scanners to properly fit shoes for approximately 40,000 recruits annually. RTC has learned that properly fitting footwear significantly reduces the amount of lower extremity body injuries during training. Student Control Department In-processing staff currently have 5 foot scanners (1 functioning, and 4 inoperable) that are 3 generations old, and are unable to be properly updated. This request is to purchase replacement scanners from the same company of the originals.
