CNRMA (Commander Navy Mid-Atlantic Region) requires commercial pier space to Safe Haven barges and camels in the event of severe weather (Hurricane, tropical storm, North Easter’s). Services are needed to prevent possible damage to assets listed in paragraph 2.0 in the event of forecasted tropical force winds (hurricane) for the Hampton Roads Area. The Government reserves the right to nest assets depending on forecast storm to reduce Lay Berth pier linear footage requirements.
