Description: NAVSUP Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire the Renewal of Pitney Bowes Mailing Services for Bureau of Medicine and Surgery, 7700 Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22042 For the period of 1 Dec 2021 to 30 Nov 2022 with 2 Option Periods. Pitney Bowes is sole copyrighted manufacture of these hardware and software materials. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996, as implemented by FAR 13.501 (a), a Sole Source Acquisition. This procurement is being conducted as a commercial item acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12. Award of a firm fixed contract is anticipated. All required deliverables shall be furnished within 1 year after date of contract award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code and size standard for this procurement is 511199 and 500 employees respectively. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all challenges to this sole source determination received within 3 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
