This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared inaccordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 – Streamlined Procedures forEvaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items, as supplemented withadditional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutesthe only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a separate writtensolicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued underthe authority of FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This requirement is to provide a card CAC Reader System and Intrusion Detection System (IDS) to NAVSUP FLC Norfolk and meet minimum-security requirements at the command. The contractor is required to install addition of the Access Control System (ACS) to a CAC Reader System designed at NAVSTA Norfolk BLDG U-132 for a two (2) door managed system, two (2) roll-up windows at NAVAL Weapons Station Yorktown BLDG Shed 8, Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek BLDG 3663, NAVAL Air Station Oceana BLDG 531 and Norfolk NAVAL Shipyard BLDG 1500 IDS Monitoring. The Government intends to sole source this action. This notice is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered by the agency.
