This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The request for quote (RFQ) number is N0018922Q0026. The proposed contract action is for commercial services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The NAICS code is 811310 and the Small Business Standard is $8.0 million. The proposed contract action is to provide annual preventative maintenance of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear Explosives (CBRNE) single point detection mail screening application, to include maintenance, replacement parts, telephone support for troubleshooting, technical assistance, and emergency on-call/on-site repair services for Government owned purchase single point CBRNE FLIR MailPoint Inspection System, located at Consolidated Mail Facility, Joint Base Anacostia Bolling in Washington, DC. A detailed description of the requirement is provided in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS). The period of performance is 8 January 2022 – 7 January 2023. The Governments obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made.
