The Contracting Department, Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, VA, 23511-3392 intends to negotiate a firm fixed price contract for procurement of services to include preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, on site repairs, parts, telephone support, and government provided property/materials/services on currently installed equipment TESCAN MIRA-3 LMH SEM located in Rickover Hall at United States Naval Academy (USNA). In addition, the Government will require periodic service as required to the SEM to support the educational mission at USNA. The Government will be utilizing procedures under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, TESCAN USA, Inc. The authority for use of other than full and open competition is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. As a result, this requirement will not be set aside for small business concerns. The activity’s small business office concurred with this determination. The NAICS code applicable to this procurement is 811219. The size standard is $22 Million. Anticipated award date is no later than 15 July 2022. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, by 5:00 p.m. Eastern time on 4 March 2022, which will be considered by the agency.
