Synopsis for Solicitation number N0018921Q0284 (Marine Knuckle Boom/Telescoping Cranes for Training Support Vessels) Amend 2 to N0018921Q0284 is attached. This amendment provides amplifying information to Requirement 4, Lift capacity (partially submerged object): minimum 15,000 lbs @ 30 feet "(off-shore, sea state 3 Hsig 4.1 feet)." Amend 1 to N0018921Q0284 is attached. This amendment changes Requirement 3 from "“Lift Capacity (off-shore, sea state 4 Hsig=8.2 feet): minimum 10,000 lbs @70 ft.” to "Lift Capacity (off-shore, sea state 4 Hsig=8.2 feet): minimum 10,000 lbs @30 feet. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk, Contracting Department, Norfolk, VA 23511-3392 intends to award a firm fixed-price contract. This requirement will be solicited as a 100% small business set-aside. This procurement action is for two marine knuckle-boom/telescoping cranes for two training support vessels (one crane per vessel) at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, VA. Any potential contractor capable of demonstrating that it can provide the supply to the required standards and that wishes to make a competitive quote for the contract shall submit their price quote to carnell.p.aurelio@navy.mil and carnell.p.aurelio.mil@us.navy.mil. A request for quote is attached on the SAM.gov site. Through its submission, the vendor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for award to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a vendor ineligible for award.
