This is a notice of intent to solicit and award a sole source contract under statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 1903 set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii) (A), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The NAVSUP FLCN intends to solicit and award a sole source contract for services related to Carter Machinery Company, Incorporated, 3404 Business Center Dr, Chesapeake, VA 23323-2639. A sole source justification has been prepared and approved by the Small Business Professional. A copy of the Redacted Sole Source Justification is attached.. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. This notice of intent is NOT a request for proposals or quotations. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 811310 Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance; the Size Standard is $8 Million. This requirement is for a Base Year and four Option Years, which will be evaluated for fair and reasonable pricing. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award.
