The instant requirement is being processed through other than full and open competition under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, “Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements”. The Government intends to solicit and award to Metal Dynamics LTD on a sole source basis, since they are the only known source with capability of satisfying the government’s minimum requirement at this time. A request for quote will be available for download on or about 06 January 2021 under RFQ number N0018921Q0074 at the following website: beta.sam.gov This action will be solicited on a sole source basis under FAR Part 12 “Acquisition of Commercial Items”, in conjunction with FAR Part 13 “Simplified Acquisition Procedures”. Delivery location is USS BATAAN (LHD 5) General Dynamics NASSCO Norfolk Shipyard, 200 Ligon Street Norfolk, VA, 23523. This announcement will close on 11 January 2021, 12:00 PM Eastern time.
