Subject to FAR Clause 52.215-3, entitled Solicitation for Information of Planning Purpose, this announcement constitutes a Sources Sought/Request for Information (SS/RFI) issued by Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk Contracting Department, Philadelphia Detachment on behalf of Commander, Naval Air Force Reserve (CNAFR) for the acquisition and installation of a C-40A Load Master Trainer (LMT) unit at the Air Logistics Training Center (ALTC) located in Fort Worth, TX. The Government will consider and analyze all information received; formal responses will not be furnished; however, the information may be utilized in the development of a final SOW and/or Request for Proposal (RFP). This is NOT a notice of solicitation issue. This SS/RFI does not constitute a RFP, nor does this issuance restrict the Government’s acquisition approach. No facsimile responses will be accepted. The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this SS/RFI nor will it reimburse for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. The Government plans to procure this LMT unit as a Commercial Item as defined in FAR 2.101. The expected NAICS code is 333318 with an expected size standard of 1000. The expected Federal Supply Code (FSC) is 6910. VENDOR RESPONSE Reponses to this Sources Sought/ Request for Information shall be submitted electronically to Jacob Segal at Jacob.Segal@navy.mil by 10:00 AM EST on 11 December 2019. Please indicate if the current hanger power supply (240V/200Amp/60Hz) is a viable source to run the C-40A LMT unit, if not, please specify a power source capable of handling the C-40A LMT unit described in the SOW (for informational purposes only). 14. Suggestions to help improve the draft SOW below (optional): Note: The goal of such feedback is to consider suggestions that might enhance competition, improve the clarity of the requirement, or leverage industry expertise.
