NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire a laser system for the project Clock Development Division that will provide the laser light to excite the calcium clock transition and divide the optical stability to a frequency capable of being integrated into the USNO timescale (5 or 10MHz and 100MHz). The sources sought synopsis number for this requirement was N0018920RS0020AE The proposed procurement is being processed as a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 334516. This procurement is being conducted as a commercial item, using FAR Part 13.5 – Simplified procedures for Certain Commercial Items. It is anticipated that the solicitation for this requirement will be posted in February 2020.
