The proposed requirement is for upgrading the TFMRS (systems) that installed at USNO, to replace the 408-4110-01 Rubidium Clock Modules (which use the FE-5680B Rubidium Clock) with VHP Rubidium Clock Modules (PNs: 408-4110-02 or 408-4110-03). As was intend-ed for the design from the outset, the learned coefficients needed for the compensation of each of the VHP Rubidium Clocks for aging behavior and for response to temperature change over their operating tempera-ture range is stored on the Rubidium Clock Module itself, and uploaded to the GTFs when initially installed in the TFRMS. This means that the end user can change Rubidium Clock Modules in the field without degrading the performance of the TFRMS system, and without the need to return the system to FEI-Zyfer for re-calibration Please see attached Sole Source Justification and Solicitation.
