THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes to identify potential sources for future requirements – it does not constitute a Request for Quote/Proposal (RFQ/RFP) or promise to issue an RFQ/RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking quotes or proposals. Companies are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. NAVSUP is looking for those contractors that are in the deepsea sonar industry that have current or emerging technologies. NAVSUP supports several customers that conduct operations and research that require various kinds of sonar devices, particularly those that are are deployed and retrieved at sea via Naval vessels. At this time, we are only conducting this RFI to obtain a list of companies that are capable of providing such services and supplies in this related industry. Potential sonar equipment may include the following capabilities: deep and shallow-water multibeam sonar systems, sub-bottom profilers, single-beam echosounders. The potential NAICS Code is 334511 for any potential future requirements. Companies are required to provide their information with any capabilities statements and or material indicating their services and or supplies they offer in the field of deepsea sonar systems.
