This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Respondees are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested party’s expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. NAICS Code: The anticipated NAICS Code for this requirement is 519120, Libraries and Archives, and the Size Standard is $15 Million. The purpose of this RFI is to gather information from qualified providers for a remotely hosted Library Services Platform to meet the needs of Nimitz Library and the U.S. Naval Academy. The Nimitz Library manages and provides access to materials in various formats in three separate collections: � General collection: o 441,970 print and electronic books o 7,218 media (audio cd, VHS, DVD, etc.) o 694 microform titles o 8,889 periodical subscriptions o 200 databases � Special Collections: o 25,689 titles � Government Documents: o 211,332 titles The United States Naval Academy’s Nimitz Library is seeking a vendor to deliver a comprehensive Library Services Platform solution that provides discovery, access and management of our electronic and print resources. The objective is to provide the USNA faculty, staff, and midshipmen with seamless access to all relevant information resources. Nimitz Library develops collections that align with the USNA curriculum and sustain strengths appropriate to the United States Naval Academy. These collections (both print and digital) are used by midshipmen, faculty and staff for academic research. The USNA has approximately 8,300 patron accounts in our legacy Integrated Library System.
