This effort will directly support the CNMOC Public Affairs Office for special military events (such as Fleet Weeks, special military ceremonies, change of commands, etc…), media events, and labor intensive publications. This requires the contractor support personnel to have experience in performing public affairs duties in an office setting, and proficiency in using camera equipment, computer equipment and associated software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Adobe Photoshop). The contractor must be able to work well with Navy Senior Executives, Managers and staff; and have experience communicating with the public and media. In addition, the contractor personnel shall possess the qualifications listed below to successfully perform each of the duties as also outlined below: - Event planning fort special military events (such as Fleet Weeks, special military ceremonies, change of commands, etc…), media events - Knowledge of the practices and techniques in planning, developing and creating content for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter) and assessing its impact. - Experience in researching, coordinating, writing and disseminating accurate, timely written content such as articles… for news media. - Developing products in support of external communication initiatives, including pitch letters, news releases and social media postings. - Preparing subject-matter experts and officials for interviews by researching and developing key messages and conducting rehearsals.
