The Contracting Department, NAVSUP FLC, Norfolk, VA, 23511-3992 intends to award a firm fixed price contract under FAR Part 12 “Acquisition of Commercial Items� and Far Part 13 “Simplified Acquisition Procedures� for the Naval Security ACtivity Mechanicsburg Command. This solicitation is to replace old failing copper technology with new fiber in order to support the PSNET network that controls the Gate Entry Control Points (ECP) and security cameras. The planned RFQ number is N319019Q0400. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 335929 , Other Communication and Engery Wire Manfacturing with a size standard of 1000 employees. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotations; however, all responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
