THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS: The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk Philadelphia Contracting Office intends to procure Impact Recorder Calibration Services in support of NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (WSS), Code N009 manages warehouses and supplies for the Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP), which is a part of the Nuclear Fleet. In order to support the NNPP, Code N009 maintains impact recorders that monitor the safety of high value parts and equipment being transported via railroad. Impact recorders register if the equipment or part have been exposed to high forces that would require inspection or replacement prior to being issued to any of the nuclear powered vessels in the Navy Nuclear Fleet. Calibration is required on an annual basis in order for the impact recorder to be fully operational. The applicable NAICS code is 541380. The small business size standard for this NAICS code is $19M. It is the Government’s intent to award a single, firm-fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to Impact Register, Inc. for the calibration services. Impact Register, Inc., a small business, has no authorized resellers for their calibration services. Information received will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
