A notice of intent to sole source synopsis (special notice) will be posted on Beta SAM to notify the public of the Governments intent to make a sole source award for the Healthcare Simulation and Bioskills Department at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. This sole source award is for Medical Human Cadavers that the department has deemed necessary for proper patient care training. This award is based upon the Virginia Department of Health capability to provide cadavers. The cadavers from the VA Dept. of Health are very specific to the training needs of NMCP and are what is required for the Healthcare BioSkills lab to satisfy its mission at NMCP. Any deviation from the requirement identified in the attachment is unacceptable to the Government due to the strict training needs of NMCP. Sole Source documents are attached to the special notice.
