The Department of the Navy (DoN) intends to negotiate a Base + Option Sole Source contract with Cerus Corporation, 2550 Stanwell Drive, is the sole source provider for the following Intercept Platelet Processing supplies that meets DON's requirements: Consumables to be used with Cerus Illuminator in accordance with FDA standards. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106 (b)(1)(i). This notice will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) Website (www.fbo.gov). Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FBO site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Classification System Code is 339113, the size standard is 750 # of employees. Based on market research conducted and contacts made with knowledgeable individuals within the government it has been determined DON's requirement can only be provided by Cerus Corporation as they are the sole authority authorized to provide these supplies for the Cerus Illuminators in accordance with FDA standards . This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement to this office by 5:00 pm, EST, 15 August 2019 With email to the attention of Christopher Ward, Contract Specialist, at christopher.s.ward1.civ@mail.mil. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government
