Synopsis/Solicitation N0017819Q6738 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The synopsis/solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. This requirement is not eligible for small business set-aside. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), intends to procure on a sole source basis from Nu-TEK Precision Optical Corporation, 1202 Technology Dr. Suite K-P Aberdeen, MD 21001-1245 for the purchase of Optical Mirrors listed on the attached SF18, Request for Quote and Drawings. Utilizing another brand would create unanticipated and unbudgeted requirement to redesign the current system costing an estimated $2,000,000.00, as well as requiring an additional 6 months for research, development, certification, training and deployment of a new system Please include shipping/freight cost to Dahlgren, VA 22448-5114. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) will be utilized for award in accordance with FAR Part 12. The order shall be firm fixed price. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the agency. At time of proposal submission please submit any historical data as well as published pricing. Award will be made based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable. In order to be eligible for award, firms must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM).
