Procurement of RAM5 Mixing Vessels and Accessories This Sources Sought notice is being posted to satisfy the requirement of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement 206.302-1(d). The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), Contracts Department, Code 02 intends to award a contract for Resonant Acoustic Mixer (RAM) 5 mixing vessels and accessories needed for the RAM5 mixer at NSWC IHD, on a sole source basis with Resodyn Acoustic Mixers (CAGE 5GK13), 130 North Main Street, Suite 630, Butte, Montana 59701. Resodyn Acoustic Mixer is the original equipment manufacturer of RAM5 mixers. Resodyn holds the patent for this unique mixing technology. At the moment they are the only supplier with the design expertise and test capabilities to ensure their mixing vessels can safely operate continually at the resonance frequency, with RAM5 mixers. Resodyn designs their mixing vessels and systems from the “ground-up” using their proprietary Process Development Services. They are the only supplier capable of verifying and validating their vessel designs using their proprietary computational mixing software, as well as functioning RAMs themselves. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
