Standoff Diagnostic Technologies for (Surface) Unexploded Explosive Ordnance and Improvised Explosive Devices
The U.S. Government is seeking information on non-invasive standoff diagnostic technologies for Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams to assess explosive hazards like UXOs and IEDs from a safe distance of 3 feet or beyond. The goal is to identify tools that can determine operational status, such as armed/unarmed conditions, battery levels, and fuze functioning, while excluding conventional radiographic technologies and capabilities below Technology Readiness Level 5. This is a Request for Information (RFI) only, not a solicitation, and no award will be made from it. Submissions are limited to five pages and must be transmitted electronically within 30 days of the posting date. Performance location is not specified, and no budget amounts are provided.
