Material shall be fabricated to Government specifications. NSWC IHD intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to United Titanium, Inc., located at 3450 Old Airport Road, Wooster, OH 44691. The NAICS code is 332112 and the PSC is 9530. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 3204(a)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) is seeking potential sources to provide machined products in Titanium grades 1, 2, 4 and 5; Zirconium Zr 702 and Zr 705; and Tantalum materials. Material shall be fabricated to Government specifications. Potential sources shall be in compliance with the Defense Logistics Agency’s Qualified Suppliers List for Manufacturers (QSLM). Supplier should be able to supply one or more of the listed metals and metal products from stock created or melted in the United States or in a qualifying country as listed in DFARS 225.872-1. The supplier should identify the metals that meet this criterion and be able to produce certifications that clearly identify the melt source country. All interested sources shall provide a company brochure or list of capabilities, product literature, organization name, address, a point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size, taxpayer identification number, UEI number, and CAGE Code.
