This Request for Proposal is for the MK 706 Mod 0 Shipping Containers. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Contracts Department, Code 02 has issued this RFP and associated attachments. Seeking potential Offerors for the manufacture and assembly of MK 706 Mod 0 Shipping Containers for shipping the MK 66 Rocket Motors. The MK 66 Rocket Motor is used with various 2.75-Inch warheads, fuzes in the 2.75-Inch Rocket system and the Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System (APKWS) Guidance System. These systems are utilized by the U.S. Marines and are critical to the success of Warfighter operations where 2.75-inch rocket motors are utilized in mission operations. The Government intends to award a single contract as a result of this solicitation in accordance with Section M, to the responsible Offeror whose proposal represents the Best Value to the Government, utilizing a trade-off process in accordance with the Factors and Subfactors set forth in the solicitation. This is a one-time procurement for the Navy. Note: Amendment 0001 was posted 14 February 2024 and Amendment 0002 was posted 23 February 2024.
