The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Contracts Department, will be issuing a Request for Proposal (RFP) seeking potential Offerors for the production of the MK 64 Mod 2 Projectile Bodies. Potential Offerors should have design, production engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance expertise and skills to be able to manufacture, test, inspect, package and deliver these Mk 64 Mod 2 Projectile Bodies. Contractor test capabilities for conducting First Article and Lot Acceptance testing of the projectile bodies are required. Mk 64 Mod 2 Projectile Body Assemblies are used in the manufacture of All Up Round 5” Projectiles (AUR) for training, combat, test and development, renovation projects, and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). The Mk 64 Mod 2 Projectile Body is the only body shape that is currently procured by the United States Navy (USN), and primary projectile body used in all fielded AURs. The Government intends to award a single three-year firm fixed priced, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Award will be made utilizing a Best Value Tradeoff process. Notice: The technical data package associated with the above listed item is designated under Distribution Statement D for limited distribution, restricting its release on the Internet. The drawings contain technical data whose import is restricted by the Arms Export Control Act, (Title 22, U.S.C., SEC 27 51 ET SEQ) or the Export Administration Act of 1979, titled as amended, 50 U.S.C. APP 2240, ET SEQ. Violations of these export laws are subject to severe criminal penalties. Respondents must be registered with the U.S./Canada Joint Certification Office and have an approved DD 2345 to obtain a copy of any drawings (see www.dlis.dla.mil/jcp/ for instructions and information) and sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Furthermore, this proposed contract action will be limited to members of the NTIB, National Technology and Industrial Base. An approved, but redacted Justification and Authority will be posted with the RFP upon release.
