The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Sole Source (SS) contract to Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company 7073 W Willis Road, Chandler, AZ 85226. The contract will consist of a base year. This requirement is for fabrication, acceptance inspection, and delivery of initiators for use in the GQM-163A Target and MK 70 Booster. Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company is the only approved source to produce initiators for the MK 70 Booster and GQM -163A. This synopsis is for information purposes only. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with the sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division requires a contractor capable of producing the following on behalf of the United States Navy (USN): The Solicitation will be restricted under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1( c): Only one responsible and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
