The solicitation number for this procurement is N0017422SIMACQR10021. The anticipated award will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract. The award will be made based on price. This requirement is 100% set aside Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516. DESCRIPTION: Statement of Work (SOW) for Oscilloscope – 4-channel, 1 GHz, 12 bit, 5 GS/s, High Definition This contract will detail the procurement of a 4-channel, 1 GHz, 12 bit, 5 GS/s Oscilloscope for use with the 42mm powder gun system at NSWC Indian Head. The 42mm gun currently resides in the Detonation Science Facilities on base in Indian Head, MD. The item purchased in this contract will ensure the powder gun remains operational for multiple propulsion, reactive materials, and hypersonics programs spanning across multiple departments. The required oscilloscope must contain 4 channels with 1 GHz bandwidth, 12-bit resolution, and a sampling rate of 5 GS/s. A high definition, 12.1” touchscreen model is required and must be able to operate at 12 bits at all times. NSWC Indian Head also requires high signal to noise input amplifiers as well as low noise system architecture. A reduction in noise will provide uncompromised measurement performance, giving sharper signals and smoother data during experiments. The 5 GS/s sampling rate will provide high measurement accuracy and precision, while the high-definition touchscreen will offer advanced technology that is not yet widespread throughout the Detonation Science Facilities. In addition, these high-end capabilities will replace outdated and broken technology currently being used in these test facilities. This oscilloscope is required to test diagnostics and hardware associated with the 42mm gun system at the Detonation Science Facilities. For example, pressure gauges and spectroscopy diagnostics are often used during testing, and associated data is often recorded using oscilloscopes. This specific oscilloscope will be dedicated to gun operations and will ensure the lasting functionality of the 42mm gun. If the Detonation Science Facilities maintain the ability to test hardware, collect data, and support research experiments through dedicated equipment and instruments, then R Department will be better equipped to advance the warfighter and maintain safe and efficient operations within its facilities. This is a one-time material purchase that should not require future maintenance via service contracts. Procuring this equipment in FY22 is crucial to ensure the continued operation of the 42mm powder gun.
