The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) intends to issue a firm-fixed price (FFP) contract on a sole source basis to Republic Lagun CNC Corp., at 800 Sprucelake Dr., Harbor City, CA 90701. The resultant contract will be a supply type contract, with a delivery period of 150 days after date of contract award. There are no options or additional quantities anticipated. The Government anticipates an award date on or before 30 September 2021. The contractor will manufacture one (1) Explosion Proof Lathe, model number UTC-2180. Republic Lagun is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM); no other sources were found upon completion of Market Research. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333515, which has an annual size standard of 500 employees. The associated Product Service Code (PSC) is 3416. The proposed contract action is for supplies, for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy Agency requirements." Vendors who feel capable of providing the supplies referenced above shall fully identify their capabilities to provide the stated hardware within ten (10) days after publication of this synopsis.
