DESCRIPTION: HEXAGON COORDINATE MEASURING MACHINE CALIBRATION AND PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT 1 General 1.1 Introduction The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) is the Department of Defense (DoD) Energetics Center and serves as the DoD Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Program lead. NSWC IHD provides research, development, engineering, manufacturing, test, evaluation and in-service support of energetics and energetic materials (chemicals, propellants and explosives) for ordnance, warheads, propulsion systems, pyrotechnic devices, fuzing, electronic devices, Cartridge Actuated Devices and Propellant Actuated Devices (CAD/PADs), Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T), gun systems and special weapons for Navy, Joint Forces, and the Nation. 1.2 Scope NSWC IHD has need of a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) calibration and maintenance Contractor in support of their mission. Utilizing proprietary knowledge of Government-owned devices, the Contractor shall provide calibration and routine preventative maintenance services.
