The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD), Contracts Department, Code 02 intends to award a contract for the purchase of the M423 Fuze Kits (Less Booster and Lead) on a limited source basis with Action Manufacturing (CAGE 6PEN8), 1105 Lake Road, Marshall, MN 56258 and/or General Dynamics Ordnance Tactic System (OTS) Inc. (CAGE 05606), 6000 Technology Drive, Bldg. 6, Huntsville, AL 35805. The two limited sources are the only qualified contractors capable of providing the M423 Fuze Kits (Less Booster and Lead). The Contractors shall fabricate, inspect, test, and deliver M423 Fuze Kits (Less Booster and Lead). The Contractors shall provide, design and/or fabricate all necessary tooling to manufacture and dimensionally inspect the units. Other documentation and support shall be provided as requested by the Government. THIS IS NOT AN INVITATION FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304(C)(1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1, only limited sources and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract.
