(ETC), of Indian Head, MD for an applied research effort in Fuzing & MEMS technology. ETC is the only qualified vendor capable of providing the research and technology for MEMS. The proposed contract will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, the Government will consider all responses received to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be available for this procurement. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit or award a contract. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, “Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.” In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii)(A), supplies may be deemed to be available only from one responsible source when it is likely that award to any other source would result in substantial duplication of cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all responses received within the closing of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
