Description - The contractor shall deliver a complete turnkey installation of two Radio Frequency Generators, Applicators, and connecting coaxial transmission line that shall be installed at IHEODTD at Indian Head, MD in the High Frequency Pre-Heater system buildings. The generator shall be located in the control room and the applicator shall be located in the heating bay. - The contractor shall perform any and all engineering work required to meet all aspects of the system specifications. The contractor will engineer the full design and function of the system. - This equipment will heat different energetic items of approximately the same size meeting the heating criteria listed in this specification. - The system shall perform semi-automated heating cycles with minimal interaction required by the operator other than loading the items and starting the heating cycle. - System will consist of a radio frequency generator, an applicator, a coaxial transmission line connecting the two, and an operator station. - The Operator Station shall have all controls necessary for the complete automatic operation of the high frequency generator. - The applicator system shall not cause physical damage to the energetic items. Assume a minimum durometer of 80A for all energetic items. - The contractor shall have a robust quality and documentation system. Purpose The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential sources for the manufacture and delivery of the High Frequency Pre-Heater system. Potential sources should have design, production engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance expertise and skills for this or similar items. The manufacture of this system include components, assembly and packaging. Contractor test capabilities for conducting pre-delivery and performance acceptance testing is desired. Planned Acquisition The U.S. Government plans to award a single Firm Fixed Price contract in Fiscal Year 2020 as a result of Full and Open Competition procedures. Requested Information The respondents shall provide the following information: - A description of the item(s) that may be offered, should the government pursue procurement of this item. - Past performance in manufacturing of the requested or similar items. - A description of technical and manufacturing capabilities as applicable to this item. - A description of facilities, personnel, and testing capabilities. - All interested sources shall provide a company brochure or list of specifications, organization name, address, a point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size, DUNS number, and CAGE Code.
