The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division – Picatinny Detachment intends to issue a sole-source, firm-fixed-price order to Northrop Grumman subsidiary Alliant TechSystems Operations LLC in Mesa, AZ. The contractor will manufacture, assemble, inspect, preserve, package, and ship the 7.62mm MK 52 Automatic Gun, Coaxial Gun Control Unit, OBRP Material Cerakote Kit, and Sensor Assembly Harness per the Statement of Work. Final quantities will be agreed during award, and each item will be treated as a separate deliverable. The government states that Alliant TechSystems is the only known company with the requisite technical qualifications and facilities to perform within the required time frame.
