THIS IS NOT A Request for a Proposal AND DOES NOT OBLIGATE THE U.S. GOVERNMENT TO ISSUE A RFP. This RFI is for U.S. Government planning purposes only and constitute requests for exchange of information pursuant to FAR Part 10 and FAR Part 15.201. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD), Contracts Department, Code 02 is conducting Market Research on MK 14 Tanks. The MK 14 tank needs to be compatible with the current inventory of tanks and lids used by the United States Navy. This is an aluminum container (tube) used to store and transport the 5 inch Propelling Charge. Current specifications are: Material: Aluminum Alloy, Per ASTM B209, Alloy 3003-0 Tank Overall Length: 36.3 Inches Tank Diameter: 7.47 Inches All interested sources shall provide the organization name, address, point of contact, phone number, fax number, e-mail address, business size, taxpayer identification number, Unique Entity ID, and CAGE Code. In addition, all interested sources shall provide a summary of their company’s capabilities and delivery timeframe and schedule.
