Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD), intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Purchase Order on a Sole Source (SS) basis to UTC Aerospace Systems, 3530 Branscombe Road, Fairfield, CA 94533. The contractor conduct testing for the U-2 Canopy Unlatch Thruster DODIC JM53 and U-2 Drogue Gun Cartridge Assembly DODIC JM54. UTC Aerospace Systems is the sole manufacturer of the U-2 Drogue Gun Cartridge Assembly. UTC Aerospace Systems have proprietary rights and the expertise in the use of the instrumentation. UTC Aerospace Systems is the only known company with the required knowledge, capabilities, and experience to perform the required tasks specified in the Statement of Work.
