Ammonium Perchlorate The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a Sole Source (SS) basis to American Pacific Corporation (Cage Code 1VAS4), 3883 Howard Hughes Park Ste 700, Las Vegas, NV 89169-0914 for the purchase of Ammonium Perchlorate (AP) MIL-A-192B, Grade C, Class 4, 200µw/TCP and AP Mil-A-82667, Class 1, Type 3; 200µw/TCP. The intended contract will consist of a one-time buy of two types of Ammonium Perchlorate. American Pacific is the only source qualified to manufacture the AP due to the stringent qualification process to be able to provide a compatible product. No other sources have the required quality rating or ability to produce the product to the specifications necessary. The Solicitation will be restriced under U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1; Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
