The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD) Picatinny Detachment is seeking potential sources for the procurement of bulk cables to be used in creating the cable assemblies during shipboard installation of the MK 38 MOD 2/3 for the 25MM Machine Gun Systems in accordance with specifications MIL-DTL-24643C and WC 27500 and as specified below: REQUIREMENTS a. Cable Manufacture Requirements: i. Each conductor in each cable shall be measured and certified to be continuous ii. Maximum working voltage of each conductor shall be 600Vrms. iii. Temperature range of each cable shall be -40° to +80° C. iv. Each conductor pair (i.e. cable subcomponent) in each cable type shall be permanently and uniquely marked by the manufacturer's design (i.e. color code, numeric labels, etc.). v. The outer shield in each cable shall be of a close-fitting braid construction and shall be free from irregularities and discontinuities. Individual wire strands may be spliced, but not more than one carrier may be spliced at any one point. The optical coverage of the outer shield shall be 90% or greater. b. Cable details i.
