The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD) intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price Brand Name Mandatory contract on a Sole Source (SS) basis to one of the following authorized distributors TriMech Solutions, LLC., 4461 Cox road Ste 302, Glen Allen, VA 23060, Designpoint Solutions, Inc., 136 Central Avenue 1st Floor, Clark, NJ 07066 or Fisher Unitech, LLC., 404 E 10 Mile Road #150, Pleasant Ridge, MI 48069 for the purchase of SOLIDWORKS 3D Computer Aid Drafting (DAC) computer software, and training. The intended contract will consist of a base year and four (4) options. Dassault Systemes is the sole manufacturer of the SOLIDWORKS software. Dassault Systemes does not sell their products directly. They currently have three (3) authorized distributors that can provide the software; TriMech Solutions, Designpoint Solutions and Fisher Unitech. This synopsis is for information purposes only. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with limited sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD) requires a contractor capable of producing the following on behalf of the United States Navy (USN): This Solicitation will be restricted under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), Limited sources as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 ( c ) ; Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
